THE FORGOTTEN SCROLLS:

REMEMBERING DEAD FRIENDS: BLOCKBUSTER

Posted on: 06/1/2026

One of the things I find myself really missing over the years is the concept of the movie store. Not only because physical media been essentially phased out, but also due the idea that was "The Movie Night". Along with most things nowadays, watching a movie can feel soulless, and uneventful. Back in the day a movie MEANT something. Hell, you would usually plan your whole weekend around it: Get out of school/work, head down to the local Blockbuster or Hollywood Video, and spend the next hour our so picking out the movies that you and your friends and family will be watching for the weekend. Unfortunately, that experience has been replaced with countless hours of scrolling Netflix, Hulu, or some other half-assed streaming platform that these corperate shitfucks have transitioned the world to. BUT! The soul of the "Movie Night" can still live on! This is the primary reason I began collecting physical media again, especially VHS. Thankfully thrift stores and an increasing amount of record stores (Zia Records shoutout) are reintroducing VHS's, and of course the DVD. This not only gives you something that these vampriric blood sucking executive freaks can't take from you (unless they break into your house and murder you, they do love doing that), but it also gives you something you can touch, hold, and form memories with. There's something strangly comforting about picking a movie from off of a shelf, putting it into its player, and sitting down with the ones you care about and enjoying a good movie. OH! And you can't forget about the pizza, snacks, popcorn, the whole nine yards. Hell, movie snacks are probably just as integral to the "Movie Night" as the actual movie itself is. Pizzahut was the fuckin' GO TO back then, and most snacks could be picked up right from the movie stores themselves, although at a premium cost most of the time. Anywho, this is one of the things I've realized was making movies "not feel right" anymore. So maybe it will help you get back into movies, and start living like we used to. #fuckmodernsociety

BATTLEJACKET PATCH HAUL #1

Posted on: 05/30/2026

First blog and first patch haul. I've been working a Dungeon Synth/Black Metal/Folk Metal battlejacket for the past few weeks now, and these were the culmination of several orders of patches to come in. Since then I've sewn on the Dio and Frostgard patch, as well as Magnum and Sequestered Keep patches not shown here. I'm still waiting on my Curta'n Wall backpatch, it's supposed to be here on monday, so if all goes well, it seems I'll have some sore fingers from all the sewing come soon.
